Description

SHO composition centered on the small open cluster NGC 6871 in Cygnus, with neighboring NGC 6883 to the left. A number of other interesting objects are also seen, including the WolfRayet star WR134 and it's large bubble of ionized oxygen at upper left, Sh 2-101(Tulip Nebula) at lower right, and the shock wave from Cygnus X-1 (the first confirmed black hole) to the right of it.
I'm not usually a fan of SHO compositions because of the overpowering green of H-a, but here after channel balancing the palette resulted in a opalescent sheen that I really liked. Hope you enjoy it also!
